The right boat makes the organizer’s job easier: everyone fits, the crew is included and you know what to bring. Here are five questions that will help you compare a Fort Lauderdale party boat for your actual group.

1. Can our whole group go on one boat?

Start with how many people are coming, including children and any photographer, DJ or other vendor. Freaky Tiki welcomes 1–22 guests on its U.S. Coast Guard-inspected 40-foot boat. Your group has the boat to yourselves, with room to spread out and enjoy the day together.

2. Are the captain, mate and fuel included?

With Freaky Tiki, the licensed captain, mate and standard-route fuel are included. So are two coolers filled with ice, a sound system, the floating mat, swim ladder and a private flushing toilet. Bring your drinks, ready-to-eat food, serviceware and towels. Compare those same inclusions when looking at another boat’s price.

3. What will the day look like?

Our usual route leaves Cox’s Landing, passes waterfront homes and yachts, then follows the New River through downtown. We turn near The Wharf before heading to the sandbar to anchor and swim. Two-, three- and four-hour trips can follow that same route; more time means longer to enjoy your favorite part. Tell the crew whether you want more sightseeing, swimming or a restaurant stop.

Want to tie up for a meal? Tell the restaurant how many people are coming and ask about seating before you set your heart on it. Our crew will need to work the stop into the charter and check docking arrangements. If you plan to finish there, get the restaurant’s permission for a boat drop-off as well.

4. What is the price for our date and group?

A two-hour private charter is as low as $550 Monday–Thursday when booked directly with Freaky Tiki, or from $650 Friday–Sunday. That covers the whole boat for up to 22 guests. Taxes, booking fees and optional gratuity are extra. The weekday price already includes the $100 direct-booking saving.

5. Where do we meet, and what should we send the group?

Freaky Tiki’s usual departure is Cox’s Landing, 1784 SE 15th Street in Fort Lauderdale. Send everyone the directions from your confirmation and plan to arrive 15 minutes early. Use one group message for the arrival time, rides, drinks and packing list so no one has to hunt through separate plans.

See the boat, then pick your date

Look through the photos of the actual boat and its amenities, then compare available charter lengths. If you have a restaurant stop, pickup request or another detail to work out, send it to the crew before booking.
